Dynamic Core Balance & Strength Yoga

Meet Jen, a passionate South African yoga teacher who has been practicing since 1997, rooted in traditional Hatha yoga and shaped by years of Pilates training.

With a background in sport and nutrition, and as a certified NLP life coach, Jen brings a deeper perspective to her teaching — one that connects physical strength with confidence, resilience, and personal growth.

Her class, Dynamic Core Balance & Strength, was created with a clear intention: to build real strength in the body while staying true to the integrity of yoga.

Jen doesn’t believe in throwing everything into one pot. When she teaches yoga, you do yoga.

At the same time, she has carefully woven the precision and effectiveness of core work into the practice — so you don’t just feel like you’ve stretched nicely… you actually feel stronger.

Her classes follow a consistent weekly rhythm, rooted in traditional Hatha yoga.
Expect a familiar structure of meditation, warm-up, salutations and warriors, backbends, forward folds, spinal twists, inversions, balances, breath-work and shavasana — with thoughtful variations that support real progression over time.
This consistency allows you to build, not just attend. This is a class where you will work.

Postures are held for longer.
The breath goes deep into the belly. And yes… your muscles might shake — quite a lot, actually.
But somewhere in that shaking, something shifts. Rather than avoiding the struggle, Jen encourages you to meet it, breathe through it, and eventually find a sense of calm within it.

That’s where the magic happens.

Expect to be challenged, supported, and occasionally called out (gently 😉).
Jen values connection in her classes and enjoys working with familiar faces — supporting each student’s development over time, both physically and mentally.

Her classes are about learning, strengthening, and enjoying the process.
Because while the work is real… it’s also allowed to be fun.

Students are encouraged to take what they learn on the mat and continue at home — where the deeper transformation begins.
This class is open to all ages, and especially suited to those willing to show up, challenge themselves, and not take it all too seriously along the way.
